Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies

Long shots continued to dominate the early Breeders' Cup races. In the Juvenile Fillies race D. Wayne Lukas, who finished 1-2 in the Distaff, saw his filly Cash Deal lose all chance when she went to her knees at the start and actually hit her nose on the ground.

Cash Deal had a troubled trip

When favorites Raging Fever and Cindy's Hero failed to show anything  Caressing got the prefect trip under John Velazquez to gain the win at 47 to 1. Caressing swept to the front near the quarter pole then held off Platinum Tiara at the line.

Caressing continues the Long Shot Parade

Caressing's win is one for the home boys as both trainer  David Vance and owner Carl Pollard have local connections. Caressing was the first Breeders' Cup entry for both men.
