Afleet Alex in an easy Belmont  Stakes victory

Afleet Alex proved he is the real thing with an amazing stretch run to win The 137th Belmont Stakes by seven lengths. Alex passed seven horses in a burst going around the final turn and clocked a 24.2 in the final quarter mile, the fastest final quarter since Arts and Letters in 1969. Look for the son of Northern Afleet to run this summer in The Haskell and Travers with an eye on competing in The Breeders' Cup at Belmont Park on October 29th.
