Although Tout Charmant beat Perfect Sting in the Grade III Winstar Galaxy Stakes at Keeneland on October 13th most felt Perfect Sting was the horse to beat of the two. Both would meet up with the European filly Petruski, winner of three Group I's in a row. When the gates opened Bailey had Perfect Sting unhurried in the early going and would take control at the top of the stretch. Tout Charmont would make a valiant closing effort but could not over take the winner. |

Winning owner Frank Stronach has been making an impact on racing not only on the track but as an owner of major tracks. Recently he pulled his tracks out of the NTRA. It will be interesting to see the effects this will have in the near future. |
